The Organic Starr Hill Stout Blend was born from a collaboration with Starr Hill Brewery — one of Virginia's most respected craft breweries. Red Rooster developed this medium-dark roast specifically for Starr Hill's Little Red Roostarr coffee cream stout. The Starr Hill Stout Blend is a medium-dark roast that performs best in brew methods that allow its bold character to develop fully. Red Rooster recommends the following for best results:
- French Press — Use whole bean, grind coarse. The immersion method amplifies the dark chocolate and caramel notes for a full, rich cup.
- Pour Over — Use whole bean, grind medium-fine. Produces a clean, layered cup that highlights the complexity of the multi-origin blend.
- Drip Coffee Maker — Use the automatic drip grind for a consistent, bold everyday cup.
- Cold Brew — Use the cold brew grind. Steep 12–18 hours in cold water for a naturally sweet, low-acid concentrate with pronounced caramel character.
- Espresso — Use whole bean, grind fine. Pulls a bold, full-bodied shot with a smooth, lingering finish.
