At Ferguson Farms, we’re committed to delivering premium, pasture-raised meats with exceptional quality, safety, and service. Because our products are perishable, all sales are final and we cannot accept returns. However, we stand behind the integrity of every box we ship and work quickly to resolve any issues.

If something in your order isn’t right, we’ll help make it right. If your box arrives with any damage, spoilage, missing items, or incorrect items, contact us within 24 hours of delivery so we can investigate and assist.

Why We Cannot Accept Returns

Our meats are perishable. Once delivered, they cannot be shipped back or restocked safely. This is standard practice for direct-to-consumer meat companies and helps ensure the highest food safety standards for all customers.

We will help resolve:

  • Damaged or compromised packaging
  • Products arriving thawed and warm
  • Spoiled items
  • Missing or incorrect items
  • Severe UPS mishandling with photo evidence

Not Covered

To maintain fairness and product safety, we cannot replace or refund orders affected by:

  • Incorrect shipping addresses entered at checkout
  • Packages not retrieved promptly after delivery
  • UPS delays, damage, or loss unless the shipment was insured
  • Customer taste preferences
  • Refusals, redirects, or address changes after shipping
  • Products stored improperly after delivery

If UPS denies a claim and the delay was caused by carrier error (and you purchased shipping protection), we will assist with resolution.

Order Cancellations & Modifications

Our weekly batching schedule ensures freshness and inventory accuracy:

  • All orders—one-time and subscription—finalize every Sunday at midnight.
  • After this cutoff, orders are locked in for the week and cannot be canceled or altered, as fulfillment and inventory allocation begin immediately.
  • You can pause, skip, cancel, or modify orders before the Sunday midnight cutoff in your account.

Is Thawed Meat Safe?

Partial thawing can happen during transit, especially in warmer climates. This is completely normal. Meat is considered safe to eat or refreeze as long as it arrives refrigerator-cold — under 40°F — just like fresh meat in a grocery store meat case.

  • If the meat is cold to the touch, it is safe.
  • Cold items may be safely refrozen or cooked immediately.

If your order arrives warm or fully thawed beyond refrigeration temperature, do not consume it. Contact us within 24 hours so we can assist.
