How to Use Split Marrow Bones
For roasted marrow — season the exposed marrow with our Smoked Cherrywood Sea Salt and roast cut-side up at 450°F for 15–20 minutes until the marrow is soft, bubbling, and lightly golden. Serve on toast with herbs. For bone broth — roast first for deeper flavor, then simmer in water with aromatics for 12–24 hours. The longer the simmer, the more collagen and minerals are extracted.

Split bones are better for roasting and serving as a dish; whole round-cut bones are better for long bone broth simmers where the marrow slowly dissolves into the liquid.
